STATE & NATIONAL: Americans remember Alexander Smirnov who stood alongside Republican Congressman, Jim Jordan during a Hunter Biden hearing in 2023,-- today Alex Smirnov was arrested today in Nevada. Alexander Smirnov has been returned to jail following his previous release from a Clark county jail earlier this week. The rearrest was announced by Las Vegas police in reaction to suspicion that Smirnov would make an attempt at leaving the county. Smirnov was jailed after being convicted by order of a Los Angeles indictment and faced being arrested and charged with providing false information to the authorities in regard to the President and Hunter Biden.

On Thursday, Las Vegas police responded to a warrant had been issued for Alexander Smirnov arrest after his alleged disclosure to police had been made stating some alleged connections to Russian operatives and having readily available millions in cash . Smirnov was considered a flight risk.
Authorities in Las Vegas stated that Smirnov had reached them with allegations about which assertions were made stating some connection between Hunter Biden and Burisma. Smirnov informed that Hunter Biden was paid 5million dollars for his work with Burisma , but later realized Smirnov falsified portions of his statement when, 2years later, he included a senior Biden's name stating that tge senior Biden was, also, paid portions of Hunter's 5 milloo up n dollar salary.
Reports that have been made by investigators of Hunter Biden indicate that there was a 5 year contract between Hunter and Burisma asmdfibg that Hunter was psid 1 million per year-- that according to the investigation.
In a more recent interview with Smirnov, US authorities indicated that the self professed informant changed his story several times claiming that he would have information to disclose to US authorities surrounding alleged meetings with Russian officials. US authorities, after some time, considered that Smirnov had been lying.
Smirnov's bevy of false reports were reviewed by Special Investigator Weiss, the same investigator who probed Hunter Biden's work as a foreign agent. Weiss stated that, as a result of new comments made by Smirnov including statements that Burisma sought after Biden for protection in 2015-2016, the investigator indicated that Smirnov was quite compulsive and should be jailed.
Smirnov's lawyers, David Z. Chesnoff and Richard A. Schonfeld watched as their client was rearrested at their office on Thursday morning. Both indicated that their client had never attempted to leave Clark county nor the state of Nevada.
After his release from Jail on Tuesday, Weiss ordered the rearrest , Weiss indicated that Smirnov lied to FBI in 2020, when he stated that ge had information surrounding allegations of corruption involving the Biden family. Smirnov's allegation have, since, been regarded as the substance of Republican's impeachment plan formed against Biden
Today, some in Washington and across the nation consider the impeachment plan brought against Biden is merely a best laid plan put forth In retaliation to the 2021 Trump impeachment.
After Weiss' reordered arrest, Alexander Smirnov will remain in jail until his trial.
