NATION: Today in Washington, US press Secretary Karine Jean- Pierre held a White House Press briefing to bring the press up to standard on matters involving the last week of current events. Accompanied by Associate Correcpondent John Kirby, Jean- Pierre provided information on the President's meetings with Prime Munister Netanyahu and Emir of Qatar, Hamman al- Thani. Discussions transpired prior to the travels such that have been planned by the President which he will engage in on next Tuesday and Wednesday.

During the discussions held with Netanyahu and Sheik Al- Thani, President Biden spoke of his concern for the further release of hostages remaining hidden in Hamas surreptitious camps. Prior to the talks with Turkish and Qatarian leaders, Biden secured the release of more than 100 hostages including one minor child 4year old Abigail Moore Edon whose parents were killed by the Hama militia.
During the update on White House events, Secretary Jean-Pierre confirmed that House Speaker, Mike Johnson, will close all Congressionsl meetings to, thereafter, engage in the Holday leave. The House end the 118th Congress having evaded efforts at making confirmation of matters involving Ukraine's President Zelenskyy's request for an additional $61.4 billion dollars.
Today, White House Correspondent, John Kirby commented in regard to the quest for Hamas release of all US hostages. Kirby mentioned, also, that the negotiations held in Doha were apparently negated by some means while the more than 100 hostages remain in the hands of the Hamas militia.
Kirby indicated that the U.S. regards a unilateral ceasefire as an impossibility. Biden has stated that the war woukd end, today, if Hamas would make its priority the release of all hostages.
Biden has indicated that , if Hamas expressed concern for the people of Palestinecwith any integrity, they would lay down their arms and, by so doing, bring an end to the war.
both Jean-Pierre and Kirby concluded briefings with comments made in regard to upcoming meetings that are yet to be held by the President during the next week.
