STATE & NATIONAL: Tiffany Henyard is being investigated by the FBI. Who is Tiffany Henyard other than the Mayor of Dolton, Illinois that is, now, being investigated for allegations surrounding matters associating her to an act of corruption. According to comments recently made by the FBI, the investigation of Henyard gained momentum following her recent meeting with President Joe Biden.

In the last years of her high post as Folton Mayor, Tiffany Henyard has been caused to interface with federal investigators on more than one occasion. Most recently, the report of alleged corruption stems from complaints lodged by one Folton businessman who was confronted by the city department.
In 2023, U-Haul franchise owner, Lawrence Gardner informed authorities that he believed he had been harassed by the city department. Gardner cited an incident during which the city requested contribution from Garner for a city sponsored event. Gardner stated that after declining to make any contribution his business activity slowed down causing a loss in profits.
In the course of watching his business deteriorate and eventually shut down, Gardner states that he had been harassed by raids conducted by police. The clsims made by Gardner were shared with the FBI.
Given complaints made by Gardner, tge FBI sought after obtaining responses from several other people considered witnesses. The FBI's investigation of Henyard was broadened by tge testimonies of at least 6 other people, however, any evidence of corruption has not been confirmed by the FBI.
Information that followed the visit by Mayor Henyard who, in January, traveled to the White House to engage in a meeting held by President Biden was described as "unrelated" to the ongoing FBI investigation.
Members of the city council have come forth with allegations brought against Henyard who claim the Mayor has taken extravagant trips whike evading the payment of the city's bills. According to reports from Henyard's cohorts,, including Brittany Norwood, the city gradually slid undertow with $7million dollars in debt.
While Mayor Tiffany Henyard has not been charged with any crime(s), Illinois Atyorney General has ordered a halt put to a charity operation that has been run by a Henyard organization.
Henyard states the allegations made by the city's board of council members are false.
Comments
