California Enveloped In Winter Storm Blizzard w/ 60 to 90 inches of Snowfall


STATE & NATIONAL: On Sunday, the National Weather Service issues reports of tge dangerous winter storm conditions tgst have overwhelmed California. The West Coast endured a massive downfall of snow -the result of a winter storm blizzard that moved across the state between Thursday and Sunday.

Today, the report of a winter storm blizzard's virtual shutting down of California's coastline connecting the state to Nevada has provided information involving the current status of weather and tgst if residents in the region.


California's weather condition has only just begun. Today, the NWS indicates that in addition to the 60 inches of snow that fell across an 80 mile region between Sierra, Nevada to California, the western most US state has been braced for the next wave of snowfall expected to continue to push threatening winter storm conditions over the next week.


While northern California may anticipate a 2nd winter storm thrust that will send more heavy rains and high winds , that which in some places near the California-Nevada borders reached 115 mph, the NWS has states that Californians will experience more by Monday evening.


Snowfall reaching 60' to 87 inches from Donner Pass to Homewood Mountain region and further to Lake Tahoe.


Over the last 3 day storm activity, the major thoroughfare, highway 80 has remained closed, nearly 300,000 residents remained without power until earlier today and resorts have been shut. California's Pacific Power ,Gas & Electric reports that only 9000 homes now, remain without power.


The storm system that rolls in on Monday night is expected to make a rapid excursion through California, returning snowfall and heavy rains to Nevada and further toward the Tockies by Tuesday.
