Navy warships, effectively putting an end to the Houthi attack on U.S.and other commercial vessels that had remsined under threat by Houthi fighters in the Red Sea.
The situation in the region has been tense, with the Houthis persistently launching attacks on ships in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden. Houthi attacks have continued in lock-step with Palestinians in their fight against Israel.
Today, the US reports on the most formidable attacks occurring overnight this weekend as Houthi fighters maneuvered through the Red Sea attempting to employ distractions to throw off US defense opposition.
Houthi fighting in the Red Sea has added economic cost to countries in neighboring regions near the Suez Canal. The Nations if S. Africa anf ports in Europe and Asia have each been struck by economic impact resulting from Houthi attacks.
Following numerous warnings made by US President, Joe Biden, as attavks by Houthis were made known to US Pentagon and US Secretary General, Lloyd Austin III, the US Central Command snd US Navy have continued in launching the most devastating retaliation attacks destroying Houthi vessels & equipment on the Red Sea and in Yemen.
The recent Red Sea battle is one among nearly 50 strikes that have been ksinched in reaction to Houthi fighting. In reaction to the ongoing war battles, the U.S. has taken steps to further address Red Sea vulnerability creating the oint Rapid Acquisition Cell. "The purpose of the Joint Rapid Acquisition Cell is to assist in resolving issues impeding the urgent materiel and logistics requirements that the Combatant Commands certify as operationally critical and the Joint Staff validates as an urgent Warfighter need."(Office ofthe Asstant Secretary of Defense)
The ASD(A) Develops implementing policies and procedures for the operation of the Warfighter SIG and the JRAC. Establishes, chairs or assigns working groups subordinate to the Warfighter SIG and in the course of action, the ASD(A) advises the Under Secretary of Defense who reports directly to the US Departmentbif Defense Secretary.
Assisting the United States, the UK, Australia, Canada and Germany have assisted the US in launching retaliation attacks against Houthi fighters. The coalition has continued to take steps at striking down Houthi missiles.
While the ASD(A) has been horned to determine tge necessary steps to take to preserve peace in tge Red Sea, It remains the plan by the US, UK coalition to prevent attacks, such that continue to impose cost to nations dependent upon supply chain goods reaching their ports the ASD(A) will, also, engage in protecting the lives of commercial and military sea travelers.
