President Biden Reviews National Defense $886.3b Package Delivered by Congress

POLITICS: This week, the U.S. House passed the US defense bill expected to be signed on Friday by President Joe Biden. Biden had long awaited the House decision on the quite massive bill that will extend to a 5.2% military personnel increases in health care and child care increasing the funding to $153 million while, also, including other family care needs.

Thursday, the day prior to the most knuckle biting day of the week and possibly the year, approached the House holiday break with much appreciation from the White Jouss.


The Defense bill approved by Congress eoukd increase the former House bill to $886billion dollars--a $ 700 billion dollars package.


The more than 3000 page National Defense Authorization Act. The House approval will provide for military increases of $28billion dollars in spending for 2024.


Excluded from the bill, however, are two of the most recent and most argued statues involving abortion and specified appropriations for transgender surgery.-- banning any reimbursements or payments by tge department for either form of treatment.


Some extended measures of inclusion involve the surveillance of foreign nationals . The US Defense Department has practiced such defensive events over the years. The concerns for foreign activities during on the ground operations has provided for warrantless surveillance. Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act approves for the DWS through mid April 2024.


According to the detailed disclosure of the National Defense bill, the US continues to be pressed for demonstrating concern for Chinese aggression and efforts made to counter Chinese hostile activities in the Indo-Pacific. The new defense bill includes $14. billion dollars for Taiwan training and interrogency capacity building incorporated in the Pacific Deterrence Initiative .


The U.S. Defense Drpartment bill includes statutes that will provide for the reinstatement of military personnel who declined taking COVID-19 vaccines and were temporarily discharged.


Biden received the package today, however, there has been no indication whether the President signed the bill on Friday.
