POLITICS: Today, the White House witnessed a Tuesday hearing that transformed into a proxy battle between President Joe Biden and his Republican counterpart, Donald Trump. " You cannot tell me that you are so naive that... your words wouldn't create a political firestorm." House Judiciary Vommittee Chair, Adam Schiff Schiff added that Hur understood how the comments made in regard to President Biden's memory would be "... manipulated ..." by Trump and members ofthe GOP.

Hur testified that it was following the interviews during which Biden was questioned by Hur, that the Special Investigator decided not to charge Biden. According to previous information imparted in the course of the extensive and weighted scrutiny, by Republicans, Hur deferred to his final judgement in regard to Biden stating that the President impressed him as being “ …an elderly man with a bad memory.”

Last month, after Hur submitted his responses involving the Biden classified files investigation, the White House strongly contested his report. Hur’s report concluded that Biden willfully retained and disclosed classified military and national security information but recommended no charges.

Democrats highlighted the contrast between the classified documents investigations into Biden and former President Donald Trump, who faced charges. While significant distinctions discussed, by Democrats, it was agreed that Hur’s transcription of the Biden interview would be made public. Hur’s comments made in reference to Biden’s memory lapse seem closely reminiscent of a number of repeated responses made by Erlickman and Alderman, whose classic replies that filled the pages of Senate hearing transcripts were, “ I don’t recall…” during the Nixon era Watergate hearings.

Congressman Schiff indicated that Hur could have commented in reference to the President's recollection of the specifics ofthe classified documents and, avoided making reference aimed at making political inferences.

During the hearing, Hur’ responses were often quite ambiguous in regard to audio recordings of the Biden interview which captured lawmakers attention. Although he wouldn’t comment on their release, Special Investigator Robert Hur suggested that the way Biden answered questions—beyond the written words—contributed to his decision-making process..

Following Hur’s testimony, the White House press reacted by inquiring whether the Biden watched the testimony. The White House response did not indicate whether the President was watching the hearing.

Lawmakers have not offered any pivotal conclusion in regard to the Hur hearing, today, while there , also, remain the public response to the enlightenment provided through Hur’s testimony.
