The Polish Armed Forces Operational Command reported that Russia violated Poland’s airspace with a cruise missile, which entered Polish space near the town of Oserdow at Lublin Voivodeship and remained there for 39 seconds.

Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine, and the western region of Lviv have come under a “massive” Russian air attack.

Ukrainian forces have been actively defending against missile strikes. Kyiv’s air defenses successfully intercepted several missiles, preventing casualties or significant damage. In Lviv, about 20 missiles and seven Iranian-made Shahed drones targeted critical infrastructure facilities.

Russia’s actions have escalated tensions in the region. The missile launches near the Ukrainian-Polish border are seen as provocations.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office stated that Russia’s missile launch toward the border with Poland is an attempt to demonstrate that it is not afraid of NATO.

From a much more broad standpoint, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has intensified, with both sides engaging in deadly aerial attacks. The situation remains highly volatile, and neighboring countries like Poland are closely monitoring developments to ensure their airspace safety.

In Ukraine the situation is complex and continues to evolve. The Polish government is likely closely monitoring the events and seeking further explanations from Russia regarding these missile attacks.
