Updated: Mar 25

US & GLOBAL: On Monday, a report from the UN has provided the news of the most recent actions taken by the UN Security Counvil involving Israel and Hamas fighting and that involving the ongoing hostage situation.. While the US took no steps to veto a resolution proposed by the UNSC, officials have moved forward with imposing demands on Israel.

During an urgent call for a break in the war violence between Israel and Hamas, the UN Security Council has issued a letter to Israel demanding an immediate ceasefire and release of hostages.

As US Ambassador to the UN, Linda Greenfield stood by, the UNSC intercedes furthering the demands forwarded by Ambassador Greenfield at the forboding of US Vice Predident Kamala Harris in reaction to Israel's planned attack at Rafah, Egypt.

In a last week response to Israel's planned attack, Vice President issued a direct and clearly stated warning in regard to Rafah snd the protection of the innocent. Harris stated that a military strike in Rafah would be a grave "... mistake" adding that the US has "not ruled out anything..." as a response to any aggressive activity by Israel.

Subsequent to the UNSC action, Israel Prime Minister cancelled the meeting planned for being conducted in the U.S. between White House officials and Israel top diplomats.

Today, despite Netanyahu's denials involving the US proposed course of action--such that would, also, result in the release of hostages and ceasefire giving trucks essentisl period of time to accomplish the delivery of humanitarian aid--the Israeli stated his disappointment with the apparent averted veto involving a new, non- U.S., resolution that did not include the release of hostages.

The Israel Prime Minister's expressed disappointment, according to sources, is a stated inflection by the U.S. which Netanyahu has regarded as taking a step back to allow the UNSC to take significantly more stringent measures to ensure the safety and protection of hostages and Palestine civilians.

The final response to the UNSC's demands, such that are quite reflective of those made by the US, given the exception of a 2-State resolution, there has been no response emanating from Israel's top officials.
