Baltimore Mayor Scott Rejects Complaints Against DEI Initiative As Cause For FSK Incident

STATE & NATIONAL: He has been referred to as the DEI Mayor, however, Baltimore, Maryland Mayor, Brandon Scott has indicated that all the accusations laying the fault of the FSK Bridge collapse at the foot ofthe City are being "brushed off."

Accusing Mayor Brandon Scott for the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, Bsltimore Mayor states his impression that blaming his office for the incident whike pointing the finger at the Mayor's "diversity, equity and inclusion" (DEI) initiatives seems quite absurd to Scott and others within the municipal ranks and beyond.

"I am a young Black man and young Black mayor in this country. We know that there [is] a lot of racism, folks who don’t think I should be in this job.”--Bsltimore Mayor, Brandon Scott.

Scott stated Sunday that he is black and he's been black growing up in America and he knows the course of racism. Scott commented in reference to some public review of a recently established program in Baltimore that carries the acronym, DEI. Scott commented indicated that the public narrative is racially centered in the manner involving the blatant criticism of the Mayor surrounding the city's diversity, equity and inclusion initiative.

Johnson mskes a clear point in stating that people are "...afraid..." adding that their rests are concentrated on the fact that people who don't look like them of think like they do are in control.... and be better at the job, Scott says. Following the critics commentary, Mayor Scott stated that the commentary circulating in reference to his race should not be something significant enough for engaging in extenuating detailed comments.

As the search and rescue teams continue to work with workers removing concrete and debris Mayor Scott stated he will brush off the negative comments and maintain his primary concern and focus , that which Scott states will always be with "...the people..
