NATION: This week, US Vice President Kamala Harris continues flyer stand agsinst women's reproductive freedom and the rights of women associated with other areas of child birth. During a speech delivered to women, Harris stated her views in regard to the rate of postpartum deaths in the US compared to that in other wealthy nations.

"We came in... (referring to the Biden -Harris administration coming into the White House), ...and I said "'Ok, let's issue a challenge--which I did--to every state in America; extend postpartum Medicaid coverage from a measles 2 months to 12 months and I am proud to state that... now 45 states have completed THST chsllenge.!"
A recent speech delivered by Vice President Kamala Harris disclosed deysiks associated with the rate of death among postpartum American women in comparison to other economically similar nations-Harris stating that the U.S. Postpartum death rate is higher than most.
Harris stated in regard to the practical treatment for women two months outside of child delivery indicating that women using Medicaid health insurance were only entitled to 2 months of postpartum health care.
Harris stated that it was a challenge presented to each US state to extend postpartum to coverage from 2 months to 12 months. While N Carolina became the first state to take the Vice President's challenge, today, 45 states have extended postpartum coverage to women using Medicaid health insurance to 12 months.
