POLITICS: On Friday, the White House announced plans established by President Joe Biden to travel to Baltimore, Maryland following the collapse ofthe Francis Scott Key Bridge. While in Baltimore, President Biden will meet with state snd local officials as the group takes time to further assess the conditions that have befallen the FSK.

Todsy, during an announcement made by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the plans made by the Biden Administration provided information regarding the President's declaration of total support for the state of Maryland and the city of Baltimore in lieu of the March 26 FSK disaster.
As Biden travels, making the visit to the site of the FSK destruction, the city of Baltimore has already recrived 60 million as a portion ofthe great benefit provided by the White House in the demonstration of the first steps taken to ensure support to Baltimore.
Anticipating that, as workers continue to dredge up more and more fragments of broken concrete and steel, the cost of the repair may fluctuate, tge US Department of Transportation Secretary zoster Buttigieg will continue to meet with the Disruption Task Force.
Today, as assessment ofthe FSK continues, Maryland Governor Wes Moore has indicated that plans have , also, been established for meetings to be conducted with Baltimore Mayor, Brandon Scott, as the 2 Maryland officials meet with Office of Management and Budget Deputy Director, Shalanda D. Young.
During their meeting with OMB Deputy Director, discussions are likely to cover the ongoing discovery if damages whike, following the most recent assessment, the federal government has indicated that a minimum of $2million will be necessary for completing repair of the FSK Bridge.
Today, as President Biden conducts further assessment of the disaster, officials of tge city and state of Baltimore , Maryland will walk through the site.
A final disclosure on the rescue efforts made in regard to the 6 workers who apparently fell into the chilling waters ofthe Patapsco River, it was stated that aside from the 2 men who were rescued, the remaining 6 workers did not survive. President Biden will meet and speak with the families of those whose lives were lost on March 26.
