"From the air, I saw a bridge that’s been ripped apart. But here on the ground, I see a community that’s come together."--President Joe Biden

Biden's trip to Baltimore, Maryland would bring together the impressions and information that may be provided by both the state and government officials.

On Thursday, Biden commented in regard to his purpose for traveling to Baltimore following the crash that collapsed the bridge and the current activities that will, ultimately, see the reconstruction of the FSK.

The Baltimore visit amounted to much more than the extenuating events that focused on the assessment of damages. One of his lateral focuses was the concern of the people. Biden commented in regard to the response by rescuers and others who arrived to provide any possible help needed. "I want to thank all the first responders, port workers, and state and local officials who sprang into action before dawn and who’ve been here ever since."

Biden commented to express his plan for ensuring every official responding to the FSK Bridge matter that the government is going to stand by them to ensure that everything helpful in repairing the bridge is theirs without question.

Biden stated, 8 workers fell into the Patapsco River and 6 of them met their fatal end. The 8 workers were immigrants, but they were all Baltimoreans.

Biden encouraged the families of those whose lives were lost giving them hope that their pain will, one day, be turned to peace and happiness.
