The bodies of Veronica Butler and Jilian Kelley were recovered in rural Texas County on Sunday, and the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner’s office is still working to identify them.

On Saturday, Butler and Kelley left Hugoton, Kansas,  driving through the Oklahoma panhandle to pick up Butler’s children in Kansas. The two women never arrived at their designated meeting point.

Members of the Butler family found the car driven by Veronica Butler where it had apparently been abandoned on March 30 in rural Texas County, near Highway 95 and Road L, just south of Elkhart, Kansas, and the Oklahoma/Kansas border.

Four individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with this tragic case. They face charges of first-degree murder, kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit murder. The suspects are: Tad Bert Cullum (43 years old). Tifany Machel Adams (54 years old). Cole Earl Twombly (50 years old) and Cora Twombly (44 years old)

In Hugoton, members of the Butler and Kelley family and their friends have been left heart broken and deeply wounded by the situation that developed into the actual murders of their loved ones.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) and other agencies have been working tirelessly to bring closure to the families, but unfortunately, the case did not end as hoped. The bodies of the two women were found after an extensive search of Texas County, and the cause and manner of their deaths are still being determined by the Medical Examiner’s office.
