Today, as Secretary Austin spoke with a U.S. Senate subcommittee panel, it was his conscientious effort made to emphasize the fact that the portions of US aide most recently approved will not be affected by the U.S. military postponement.

This week in Cairo, ceasefire and hostage relations were being perused. Meetings on Tuesday concluded with no agreement —Israel perceiving the plan by Palestine would hinge on permitting Hamas to continue in its routine assertion of surreptitious hostility and aggression.

In an added element that followed the Cairo meeting, Israel learned that one of its own, hrld hostage by Hamas, had been killed.

On Wednesday. responding to the Senate subcommittee quarry, Austin confirmed the stand taken by the U.S. government that is echoed by the US military; the United States is the need for Israel to ensure that civilian situated inside the war zone are protected.

Austin indicated, as he spoke to Senators; “ As you know Senator,… we’ve been ver clear from the beginning, Israel should not launch a major attack on Rafah without accounting for and protecting citizens who are hitting in that battle space.”

Secretary Austin, also, stated that the postponement does not represent a matter of a change in US support. The situation, however, involves a one time postponement of a military shipment of “…high payload munitions.”

According to information received from the U.S. Air Force, a statement from the National Security Council reached the Pentagon with a message from the White House ordering USAF to postpone the ammunitions shipment.

Secretary Austin’s response to the Senate subcommittee described the situation that involved the NSC in issuing the White House command.

The Senate, at this point, is anticipating a response from the NSC in regard to the U.S. munitions’ postponement.
