US & GLOBAL: In the city of Prague, 14 people were killed and 25 were injured when a student upoenrd fire in a crowd at Charles University. Prague police stated that the student entered one of the buildings where his classes were held and within a matter of seconds began shooting students and others who were in tge path of gunfire.

On Thursday, a call Placed to Prague police in regard to a potentially violent situation resulted in authorities being called to the Charles Ujiversity, downtown Prague, Czechoslovakia. Arriving at the university, police found the evidence of a mass shooting.
The description of the gun massacre was described by survivors who stated that 24 year old philosophy student arrived on campus and, after apparently raising a ruckus and threats of violence, the unnamed shooter opened fire on students in the philosophy building.
The shooter/student was reported by police as having sustained multiple gun shot wounds. Police indicated that , as a result of the shooter's wounds, the identity would be withheld pending confirmation.
Subsequent to the mass shouting, police made efforts at securing the university's several form halls and classrooms. Officers assisted with the safe egress of students who remained trapped in buildings during the shooting.
The Charles University student who opened fire killing 14 and injuring 25 others was , himself , killed on scene.
