Putin Putin Reappoints Defense Minister Shoigu to Serve As Secretary ofthe Russian Security Council

US & GLOBAL: Russian Security Council will soon take on a new Secretary. Following a plan by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the current defense minister will serve as the next secretary of the Security Council; after being replace in the Russian Defense Department by Andrei Belousov, Russia's former deputy Prime Minister.

The Russian media describes Sergei Shoigu as Russia's former Chairman ofthe Council of Ministers of Defense ofthe Commonwealth of Independent States. Serving in his former post for 12 years, Shoigu will begin carrying out the responsibilities of the Security council Secretary without postponement. Shoigu is preceded in his position by Nikolai Patrushev and resumes his service to Russia through the newly appointed venue. As Putin assumes the Presidency for his 5th term, it became his mission to make adjustments in the former administration. Information provided through Russian news media indicates that Putin sought after making changes in his administrative structure, recently, following an incursion at Belgorod. According to report, there were a number of Russian deaths under Shoigu's watch-- apparently the deaths were such that Putin found disturbing. In a report made recently, Putin cited Shoigu for 13 deaths that occurred during Ukraine strikes launched in Belgorod during sheeling fired upon an apartment building in the township. 20 people were also injured after the building collapsed. On Sunday, Putin was reported to have appointed a civilian to the job as Defe3nse Minister stating that new and fresh ideas would benefit the Russian defense. Putin stated, today, that the new appointment, Belousov and his innovative concepts, "...must fit the into the country’s wider economy." Sixty-five year old Belousov leaves the Russian Department of Economics to assume the role of Russian Defense Secretary .
