US & GLOBAL: On Thursday, an apparent assassination has resulted in the death of Slovakia’s Prime Minister, Robert Fico. Fico official vehicle was approached by a shooter who fired upon the Slovak Government official multiple times.

“I am shocked…,” Slovakia President, Zuzana Caputova stated , wishing the Prime Minister’s strength as he fought for his life.
On Wednesday, following a government meeting in Handlova, Slovakian Prime Minister, Robert Fico was shot and killed by a gunman during sn after event hand shaking session.
“I am alarmed to hear reports of an attack on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. Jill and I are praying for a swift recovery, and our thoughts are with his family and the people of Slovakia. We condemn this horrific act of violence. Our embassy is in close touch with the government of Slovakia and ready to assist.“—US President Joe Biden
According to the report made by authorities, Fico was fired upon when a gunman stepped through a crowd of people and fired 3 shots, fatally striking Fico.
Fico was assisted with getting into the vehicle by aids or security who rushed the severely injured Prime Minister to the nearest medical facility. Prime Minister Fico was rushed by MedAir to the trauma center at Banska Bystrica medical center.
Today, US President Joe Biden issued condolences to Slovakia and the family of the slain leader, Prime Minister, Robert Fico.
Biden stated that he is alarmed, condemning the attack on Prime Minister Fico. Biden added, the U.S. Embassy is in touch with the government of Slovakia.
Fico is purported to, currently, remain in serious condition in the Banska Bystrica hospital.
