Biden Plans New Military Aid Pkg To Israel Totaling $1Billion in Weapons & Munitions

POLITICS: A new round of foreign military aid has been declared by US President Joe Biden. Today, Biden took steps to prepare a $1billion dollar military package to assist Israel during the ongoing conflict with Hamas. By Michelle Crawford-Sapenter Weeks of avoiding the question of whether any further military weapons sales would be provided Israel has concluded with US President Joe Biden deciding in favor of Israel. Today, President Biden announced his decision to move forward with military funding armaments for Israel following his former comments made in citing the IDF planned strikes in Rafah. The move forward follows Israel's strike on Rafah over the weekend and the first of the week. The event that found the IDF engaging in a clash with Hezbollah forces resulted in 6 casualties. During the strikes, 1 UN Security Guard was killed and 1 injured while the rescue crew drove an ER vehicle through a war zone near Rafah. No longer hesitant to provide the weapons and munitions aid, President Biden has faced some opposition by members of Congress who have commented in regard to the apparent ongoing war violence that appears to find Palestine-backed Hamas at fault and failing at any possible victory. The White House, today, cited the efforts that have been made by Congress members, some democrats, who have forwarded a letter to President Biden with grumbling comments being made in regard to the recently issued military proiposal.

The military package planned for being delivered to Israel contains $700 million in tank ammunition, $500 million in tactical vehicles and $60 million in mortar ammunition.

President Biden has not changed direction involving the situation in Israel. Today, according to National Security communications director John Kirby, Biden has moved ahead with ensuring that Israel is provided the necessary to defend against Hamas.

Today, the President’s decision to continue to supply Israel with arms will protect Israel’s right to protect its people. The President , Kirby states, has determined that certain types of US weapons will not be provided for Israel’s use in certain areas.

The decision made by President Biden is a package deal that will be reviewed by Congress, the House Foreign Affairs Committee or the Senate Foreign Relations Committee—either of which can vote down Biden’s proposal.
