Biden Corresponded w/Qatar President Al Thani Encouraging Efforts At Securing Hamas’ Agreement


POLITICS: US President Joe Biden reached leaders in Qatari stating his concern for their efforts at encouraging the nation’s government to take steps to ensure that Hamas accepts the ceasefire desl. Biden forwarded as message that was received by, today, Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani

“[U]se all appropriate measures to secure Hamas’s acceptance of the deal,” —US President, Joe Biden


During the correspondence held between President Joe Biden and Al Thani, both leaders agreed that the deal is significant and a concrete deal that would arrive at bringing an end to the war.


“.Israel’s readiness to move forward with the terms that have now been offered to Hamas”— President Joe Biden


Biden emphasized tge plan received by Israel is in an accepted state—Israel is poised for moving forward with the proposed plan. Biden indicated that Israel has made the offer to Hamas.


President Biden stated, “this is the best possible opportunity for an agreement and that Hamas’s ongoing refusal to release hostages would only prolong the conflict and deny relief to the people of Gaza.”


Already stating their position in regard to the planned deal, Biden stated that Israel, Qatar and Egypt have each agreed and are ready to take action.


In reference to the proposed deal between Hamas and Israel, today, Jake Sullivan, US National Security Advisor, spine with Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Sullivan emphasized the hope that Hamas will agree to the plan that is expected to result i. an immediate ceasefire.
