Rusdia has lodged threats with comments containing implications targeting NATO member states.
In recent updates, comments have indicated that Russia currently poses no immediate military threat to the transatlantic bloc.
However, Stoltenberg has also remarked on the Kremlin's threats to escalate the war due to military aid to Ukraine, stating that such threats have been present since 2022. Stoltenberg continued stating that Russian threats have not been implemented and are considered groundless.
