STATE & NATIONAL: This weekend, authorities in Corpus Christi, CCPD disclosed information surrounding the missing person, 27 year old, Tanya Garza. Miss Garza had gone missing for 2 weeks when her remains were located by police on June 15, 2024.

On Saturday, police in Cirpus Christi located the body of a woman matching the Im description of Tanya Garza. Policevreported having located the body in a weeded area inside of a gated plat of land.
Garza was last seen with Matthew Davila, on the date of June 7. According to reports, Davila was stopped by police for a routine traffic stop however, fled the police at that time.
Police later arrested and questioned ). who was thereafter, released. Davila had not been charged by tge CCPD.
Tanya Garza was reported as being a mother of three minor children. Garza’s vehicle was located near the gated area where her remains were, also, located—the vehicle had been set ablaze.
Police are currently investigating the torched vehicle along with other evidence that might provide further information surrounding the disappearance and death of Tanya Garza.
