Near Rafa 22 Killed in Tents A Total of 42 Dead —IDF Takes No Responsibility


US & GLOBAL: Today, the ICRC reports on a recent strike near Rafah that killed 22residents living in a tent camp. According to reports, in 2 separate strikes; one aimed at buildings in the war zone , also, landed on unprotected camp grounds located nearest the border city. Israel stated it takes no responsibility for either strike that killed a total of 42 people.

In two separate strikes, war planes landed firepower in the Hamas run government area, striking government buildings.


The strikes were launched in the cities of al-Tuffah and al-Shari. Refugee camps that were struck were located at the Rafah border nearest al- Shari.


The 22 people who were killed had recently sought after protection arriving at the Internationsl Committee ofthe Red Cross building. It was tgst building where Israel strikes were aimed, killing dozens. In nearby communities, the strikes buried people under the rubble —all that was left of the broken buildings.


Today, following the strikes, the IDF stated that a subsequent investigation of the strikes had been conducted adding that the IDF was not involved in any of the strikes.


As rescue efforts continue, emergency teams gather as many as possible among the injured carrying many of the people in their arms to Rick Sh them to hospitals where medical treatment may be performed.


The final report, today, indicates that at this time while the death count remains at more than 40 many others are expected to be found buried under their own homes.
