STATE & NATIONAL: Today the state of New York mourns tge fatal police involved shooting of 13 year old, Nyah Mway. According to the New York Attorney General, the incident involving the police shooting of the 13-year old Utica, New York boy is indeed a serious matter.

On Saturday night, as he proceeded walking through a housing community, the 13-year-old, identified as Nyah Mway, was fatally shot by police in upstate New York after a foot chase .
Body camera footage shows the officer fatally shooting the 13-year-old who had been tackled to the ground after he ran from police and pointed at then with a fake handgun.
The replica gun carried by the teen was a realistic-looking pellet gun . The officers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave with pay
Today, the case involving Mway is not isolated. In similar cases, there have been calls for accountability and justice from the community and family members
Across America, the public has reacted to the news of the police shooting death of 13 year old Nyah Mway. The vast U.S. public vocalized hope that, while these situations have too often occurred involving minor children, the nation pleads with the U.S. Department of Justice to open a more broad discussion about police procedures and the use of force, especially involving minors.
The New York office of attorney general Letitia James has opened an investigation into the shooting.
