STATE & NATIONAL: Today is the 60th anniversary of US President’s signing of the Civil Rights laws. While the Civil Rights laws effectively changed the state of racism against blacks and minorities in America, today, Americans in both black and white cultures, must question the resilience ofthe Civil Rights laws against the overwhelming imposition of the revisiting of extremist white supremacy in America.

The Civil Rights laws enacted in the United States have been pivotal in promoting equality and combating discrimination. However, the resurgence of white supremacist violence poses a significant challenge to the resilience of these laws.
Recent reports suggest that white supremacist violence has become a primary national security threat in the U.S.
The Department of Homeland Security has identified racially and ethnically motivated violent extremists, particularly white supremacist extremists, as the most persistent and lethal threat in the homeland .
To counter these racially motivated threats, a comprehensive strategy has been proposed, focusing on leveraging executive branch actions, improving data collection, research, and reporting, and investing in community-led programs to build resilience against white supremacist violence.
What's more would the efforts made by progressive members of the black community to engage plans for establishing the black culture in areas where blacks are falling far beneath the standard established by white , American Asians and Hispanics.
Based on a 2007 study, the Excel Market Trends company performed a measure of economic research during the George Bush era economic relief plan. The company's study found that compared to whites and Asians black business fell far behind those of whites and American Asians,
According to the pre-COVID-19 study, the diminished economic proficiency existed highest among blacks indicating that white and Americans Asians each owned and operated 1.0million manufacturing companies. Hispanics owned and operated nearly 300,000 manufacturing companies while blacks owned and operated only 1.5% of all US manufacturing companies and employed only 10,000 employees. In the health industry, black doctors were calculated at 45,000 while 500,000 were calculated among white physicians and 50% of the white physicians were calculated among Hispanic physicians. In addition to the very low numbers of black physicians, black owned/ operated hospitals remain at a low compared to white, American Asian and Hispanic owned/ operated medical facilities.
Other studies have concluded that the association to violence and police involved crimes against blacks, stem from economic disparities.
This includes a multifaceted approach to root out white supremacist violence and secure a safer future for all citizens
While the Civil Rights laws remain a strong legal framework against discrimination, the adaptability and enforcement of these laws are crucial in the face of evolving threats like extremist white supremacy. It's clear that ongoing efforts and policy development are necessary to ensure that the Civil Rights laws continue to uphold their intended purpose in today's context.
