“Joe Biden is going to be fine, so that (Biden stepping down) is not going to come to fruition." — Vice President Kamala Harris
While some reports indicate that she is seen as a top contender of President Biden decides not to continue his reelection campaign others express support for a Biden-Harris ticket
Today, the political dynamic is, according to Washington and the White House, not as complex as the opposition may hope. The decision on the Democratic ticket --which was already made--is confirmed during the Democratic National Convention.
While it is quite unlikely to change during the 2024 campaign, there is no official confirmation of any changes to the Democratic ticket or the candidates.
Vice President Kamala Harris has not made any recent public statements specifically addressing the suggestion that President Biden might step down. In fact, in a recent interview, Harris dismissed the idea of her replacing Biden as "hypothetical."
Harris, also, emphasized that every Vice President needs to be ready to step in if necessary, adding, "I’m no different"
In Washington, it is always a thing of anticipation that the political landscape may always change. Any suggested public statements made by Vice President Harris or other officials should be confirmed.
