Hurricane Beryl Lands In Jamaica 90% Damage Reported

US & GLOBAL: Beryl touches down in Jamaica on Wednesday as the 130 mph storm devastates the Caribbean.

A Category 5 Hurricane that formed in the Atlantic has continued to cross the Caribbean Todsy reaching Jamaica. According to reports, Beryl has destroyed 90% of the island located in East Caribbean.


Today marks the 3rd Caribbean island that has been hit by the fierce storm as reports continue to made during a news conference.


Today, in the aftermath of Beryl having barreled down upon Jamaica, the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency commented in regard to the devastation left by Beryl in the Caribbean region. Cities hardest hit were St Elizabeth and Clarendon.


Today, Jamaican Metieroligist, Romayne Robinson stated today that the region can anticipated rain and thunderstorms through Saturday.


Prime Minister, Andrew Holness stated that ,despite the very evidence of damage, the Prime Minister indicated that Jamaica had been “spared the worst.”


Today, the NHS has indicated that Beryl has crossed the Cayman Island and will head to Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula.


Beryl is traveling, now, as a Category 3 storm with hurricane warnings issued in tge Cayman Islands, tge Yukatan Penindula , Costa Maya , and Cancun and Cozumel. Warnings of hurricane condition have, also, been issued for Belize.


The Category 3 hurricane is expected to leave Mexico and land on Texas southern most region bear the Padre Island/ Corpus Christi coastline.


Beryl may knock upon the coastal port area of PI and CCTx within the next 36 hours.
