Former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Informs on The Need For Increased, Strategic Security

NATION: Following the deadly shooting in Butler, Pa that left former US President Donald Trump injured, former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot issued a statement on Sunday. Lightfoot comments are statements of her shock and amazement at the heinous crime ofthe shooting of Trump that the former Mayor referred to as a time of a “…toxic mix” of violence that has left people on “…the fringes.”

During her public comment, Chicago’s former Mayor, Lori Lightfoot issued stated how the situation in America is that which she refers to as “…soaring rhetoric and baked demonizations …” which have created this toxic mix. Lightfoot indicates that the United States is sweltering inside of the heat of varying views had by those who “become followers on the fringe that are disconnected from the normal society, that may have mental illness, and then the ready access to firearms…” Lightfoot stated that the situation is horrible to think of, but a necessary matter to address that also involves the “…ready access to firearms.”


Light foot stated her impression that there are too many AR rifles in the hands of average Americans. The X-Mayor stated that she is hopeful that the conversation that comes out of this that she referred to as a “ really…tragic event” is efforts made at restricting the access to AR rifles by civilians.


Lightfoot’s comments, also, echoed the U.S. C9’stitution in which it is stated that the carriage and use of firearms by Americans outside the home shoukd be restricted to those who are members of “a well formed state militia.”


Former Chicago Mayor, Lightfoit stated that she “believes that those kind of weapons should be restricted to the military and law enforcement,”


Lightfoot added that there is a real need for increasing strategic security while the problem with gun violence in America that exists are not solely that of political violence, but violence that exists in areas of society across the nation.
