POLITICS: On Tuesday, US President Joe Biden delivers a speech before the members of the NAACP gathered together during the 2024 NAACP Convention. This year, the NAACPC was held in (), bring people of all colors to join in the festive occasion.

“Good afternoon N A A C P!” the first speaker, NAACP President Derrick Johnson stirred up the , routinely, large crowd, with a high energy greeting only moments before introducing the event’s keynote speaker. US President Joe Biden.
George Floyd’s heinous death committed at the hands of 5 errant Minnesota police officers was a “ tragedy, and was “…not the first,” Johnson said adding “ If we don’t get police reform it will not be the last.”
Before turning the mic over to President Joe Biden, President Johnson thanked the NAACP members both the lawyers who have planted roots in court houses across the nation in pursuit of Justice. Johnson also thanked the CDC whose members are a coalition of African American judges who Johnson affirms for their advocacy for Americans has propelled the nation forward “…in perfecting democracy.”

Johnson’s statements included comments on the work the NAACP is doing to establish equity that is included Ive if black Americans. “

Johnson introduced US President Joe Biden stating that Biden is a leader who doesn’t shut the door in our face, but turns up the volume when speaking…a leader who doesn’t always get it right, is all in on getting it done.”
US President Joe Niden has increased employment among members of black community, eliminating poverty by half among tax payers and families with children.
During his speech, Biden spoke on matters associated with the US economy and how a number of efforts made by the Biden- Harris community have benefitted the U.S. Black community President Biden also commented in regard to the great devastation of the black community which had been thechardest impacted by the pandemic during the Trump administration.
Biden reflected on how President Harry S Truman who was the first to stand in the same place that President Joe Biden is standing demonstrating support to the NAACP.
Trump commented in regard to the work that he has accomplished and that which has been carried forward by Presidents, including JF Kennedy and LB Johnson and GW Bush who have taken a stand in support of the NAACP.
Like those US leaders, today, Biden stands together with NAACP President Johnson , during the organization’s national convention as efforts are continued to be made to prevent the gun violence that ended the life of George Floyd.
The gross dichotomy the exists between Trump and other president is the evidence of imposing the debacle of the black community —one such act was that engaged by Trump and attorneys to rescind Obamacare.
Biden commented about the manner by which Trump comments on ‘ black jobs.’ Biden stated “ I know what a black job is!” A black job is the Vice President, Kamala Harris. A black job is President Barack Obama. Biden stated, “Kamala Harris is qualified to be US President!”
Comments were made in reference to Biden’s appointments of black judges, including the swearing in of Laphonsa Butler, the appointment of first black female Supreme Court Justice, Ketanji Brown Jackson and first black, female Press Secretary, Karine Jean- Pierre, not to mention the first black man to head the Environmental Protection Agency, Michael Regan
Taxes were, also a concern of the Predident’s Biden stated that he is continuing to work to make the Child Tax Credit permanent.
Among other comments were those that referred to the infrastructure , building additional , affordable housing and roads and highways that comment communities.
Biden’s focus has turned toward HBCUs by investing 16 billion dollars in black colleges and universities . Releases from jails for those charged for of marijuana
Corporate greed has overwhelmed the US economy. In particular, corporate owned housing sets up a block to continued efficient housing. Biden stated he will ensure that housing cost are not raised more than $55.00 dollars.
Biden received roars of approval when he stated his administration will reinstate Row v Wade and stop MAGA Republicans bully ensuring they will not end social security and will pay their share of taxes by ending Trump’s tax cuts to the wealthy. Today, the federal tax to billionaires is 8.2%. Biden Ststes he will increase the federal tax to 25%.
Two major concerns of the Biden- Harris administration are that of eliminating student debt and endure fairness in voting rights while, also enduring Medicare has the authority to negotiate its own prices.
MAGA would attempt to erase programs that benefit members of the black community and ease moments in American black history.
The President stated that he knows how to do the job that will bring about fairness in America adding that he knows how to tell the truth. Biden stated, “ black history is American history.
Ending his speech, President Biden commented, “America is the nation of possibilities!” Biden asked those gathered during the NAACP Convention’s first day of conference, “ Are you all in? The crowd roared back, “ Yes!!
