NATION: The Senator accused and charged with Bob Menendez, has received a guilty verdict on every count of the crimes of which he was charged. Menendez was convicted on 16 counts of felonies that included taking bribes, attempting to debacle criminal investigations and unlawfully setting up deals with foreign agents.

On Wednesday, while he remains under the guidance of his attorneys, Bob Menendez remains at large in his home state of New Jersey.
Following the return of the guilty verdict on charges brought by the state of New Jersey, Menendez states that he is prepared to appeal the verdict.
As former Chairmsn ofthe Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Senator Menendez was Aldo convicted on charges of bribery, extortion, wire fraud, conspiracy, obstruction of justice and unlawfully interacting with Egyptian officials to foreign agent between 2018 and 2022.
Menendez’s home was searched by the FBI earlier in the year 2024. According to the subsequent report, federal agents located $400,000 dollars cash stuffed inside jackets , pants and pockets that were placed in the Senator’s home vloset. It had been stated in the investigation that Menendez maintained several bars of gold bullion that were, also, located at his New Jersey home.
As a result of his conviction on July 15, Menendez faces being stripped of any future opportunity of serving as a U.S. public official and the possibility of being confined to prison for several years.
U.S. District Judge Sidney H. Stein has set Bob Menendez sentencing trial for October 29. 2024.
