US & GLOBAL: The meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant was prompted by the Initial announcement made by Netanyahu in regard to Gallant’s dismissal. According to the Israeli government, Gallant 's resignation was due to his criticism of the government’s judicial overhaul plan.

Today, following protests made opposing Gallant's resignation, Israel announced that the former decision led to widespread protests and a general strike, which subsequently, pressured Netanyahu to reconsider.
Despite the announcement, Gallant remained in his position as the formal termination process was not completed.
The ongoing tensions and the critical security situation in Israel likely necessitate do continued collaboration between Netanyahu and Gallant, leading to their meeting.
It seems that the need to maintain stability and address security concerns has brought them back to the table. The two will be joined by other Israeli officials who Willy engage in further negotiations involving the hostage release and pending ceasefire.
