US & GLOBAL: Over the weekend of July 27th, the government of Russia made contact with the United States to disclose information involving an apparent “covert operation” conducted by Kyiv. Russian authorities reached U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin who issued instruction to Kyiv ordering a stop to be put to the apparent unexpected military operation.

From. Russia, news of Defence Minister, Defense Minister Andrei Belouso being informed of a plan by Kyiv to launch a cover operation was received by U.S. Secretary Lloyd Austin.
The disclosure made by Belouso provided information to the US involving Ukraine’s planned operation that was to be conducted in mid July. Austin was contacted by July 25 and responded to Belouso’s alert.
According to Belouso, the Ukraine indicated that the planned operation had been approved by the U.S. Contacting Russia, Austin commented in regard to the necessity for maintaining open lines of communication.
As an apparent inquiry proceeded, Austin was able to learn of Kyiv’s plan and responded by requesting that Kyiv cease and decide with any plans for conducting a full scale military operation in Russia.
While details associated with the events remain classified, the Pentagon and White House did indicate that there had been no action taken by Kyiv and that the rumors circulating were not confirmed by Ukraine.
It was a matter that, despite the ambiguous report made by Belousov, the Prntagon regarded as serious and did make contact with Kyiv stating that any planned covert operation by Ukraine should be put to a halt.
Since that time, the US has received no further information in regard to the rumor associating Kyiv with a covert operation, however, the Prntagon has stated that communication will remain open.
