US President Biden Speaks During 60th Anniversary Commemorating Civil Rights Law Signing, LBJ Library


POLITICS: Today, a ceremony held in the Capitol city of Texas at Austin would. Commemorate the 1964 passing ofthe Civil Rights laws signed by former President, Lyndon Bains Johnson

“ Hate never dies, it just hides. Biden added, Hate will not prevail in America.”


Today, the commemorative speech read by the son of LBJ, Patrick Lyndon Nugent, spoke in reference to ensuring our nation’s equity in the rights, justice and freedom that , the speaker stated, “ must…” be the experience of every American. The words written into the decree made my President Lyndon B Johnson, 1964, paraphrased, state the nation’s adaptation to the practice of civil rights.


The commemorative ceremony was graced by Tameca Jones, the Austin, Texas based artist singing her rendition of ‘If I Had A Hammer.’


From the White House, in 2023, US President Joe Biden spoke in regard to the commemoration of the Civil Rights laws, stating the need for Supreme Court reforms that would address matters associated with white supremacy adding that race hate is the greatest threat to homeland security.


Biden acknowledged the Christian Clark, the current Assistant Attorney General and Chairperson ofthe Office of Civil Rights of the United States. Biden commented that the recent landmark hate crime prevention legislation mudt accompany banning assault weapons.


The civil rights legislation efforts was established in June of 1963 by then U.S. President John F Kennedy established the lawyers for Civil Rights committee to address the matters surrounding race hate. 60 years ago in 2023, the first steps were taken to establish the Civil Rights legislation.


Civil Rights remains an unfinished rights in America

The need continues to protect the rights of all Americans.


Despite the movement that has pushed forward voting rights and the civil rights act, the hatred persisted beyond the signing of these rights and, in many instances, the nation has borne witness to the deadly impact of white supremacy.


Biden called for passing the John Lewis legislation. President Biden has proven himself to be a stickler for leveling the playing. Appointing the first black. female Supreme Court Justice and the first black female Vice President ofthe United States.


President Biden has believed in the principles passed on by his father who stated, “‘working in America is not just about a pay check, it’s about dignity.””


The President stated that one lawyers who worked to establish civil rights in America, 60 years ago, was Fred Gray. Biden bestowed the prestigious Medal of Freedom upon Fred Grey 59 years later

“Keep pushing. Keep going. Set the record straight.” Biden reflected on the words spoken by the late, great John Grey who stood and fought on Bloody Sunday in Selma , Alabama after crossing the Edmund Pettus Bridge with 600 black Smericans who defied being denied the right to vote. They won!


Biden stated. Every time I walked out of my grandfather’s home in Scranton his grandfather would shout out, “ Hey Joey, keep the faith. Biden stated his grandmother would then yell, “ No Joey, soread it. Spread the faith!”
