President Biden Speaks Encouraging Racial Equality The US Has Never Carried Forth During LBJ Civil Rights Laws Anniversary



POLITICS: On the 60th anniversary ofthe US Civil Rights law signing, US President Joe Biden spoke begire a welcoming audience who joined together at the LBJ Library located on the campus of the University at Austin, Texas. President Biden recalled the days events that transpired leading up to the, ultimate, Civil Rights law signing by the late U.S. President, Lyndon Bains Johnson.

“I was on the steps of Hull- — of one of the halls — one of the university halls called Hullihen Hall at the university, listening on a transistor radio with three other people.  It seemed unbelievable.”—Biden mentioned what he experienced as a young law student at the time the Civil Rights law was signed


Thank you, thank you, thank you. Really. Thank you. Please. Please. President Biden entered stage right overwhelmed by the welcoming applause of the audience while uttering his jubilant, triple thank yous.


Taken together, these three acts...”—the Civil Rights Act, the Voting Rights Act and the Fair Housing Act—“…have made this nation fundamentally more fair, fundamentally more just, and, most importantly, fundamentally more consistent with our founding principles. —US President, Joe Biden


During his speech, President Biden expressed his concern for the pre-civil rights laws Ayer’s for equality. The nation, in a state of 1). efforts being made to spread the insufficiency of inequality snd 2). the plight among millions who supported those who stood for their civil rights to be acknowledged, faced a t radical moment in time


“And then… watching President Johnson help the nation find a way forward. In his first address after the tragedy, President Johnson said, and I quote, nothing “could more eloquently honor President Kennedy’s memory than the earliest passage of the civil rights bill.” That’s what he said.” — US President Joe Biden

Then, a young man encouraged to join in the political stream of US society, took steps to join the city of Delaware, working as a city official, In time, Joe Biden sought after a seat in the Senate where among many issues that would fsce the people of his state and others throughout Smefica, in that era, also, aided in challenging the state of black American’s inequality.


Years into his service to the state of Delaware as Senator, Biden was suffered by an aneurism fir which he underwent surgery. An unusually tough vountinence, Joe Biden proved his resilience and stamina as he underwent a 2nd bout with his health. During his recovery Senator Biden suffered a set back by encountering a pulmonary embolism. He quickly recovered however, remained away from his Senate post for 7 months. Upon his return, Niden seemed to know what his agenda might be. A number of matters at issue with affordable healthcare among them. Another matter addressed by Biden was the matter of enduring the progress of the civil rights law that promoted equality.

In a nation prepared for change, Biden became the 19th most elected Senator who was known among colleagues as a liberal who stood firmly on civil rights and called for accountability in government.


On Monday, as he spoke to the audience gathered at the LBJ Library commemorating the 60th anniversary ofthe US Civil Rights law signing, President Biden raised the awareness of thousands and, yet, millions as he commented in regard to the consistency of inequality which, in a phrase he coined states that overcoming it has long been a theoretical acknowledgement that has not been fully demonstrated though “…we have never walked away from it”

A stickler for the betters laws in the nation, President Biden commented on Monday night how he took action fulfilling his pre ordained plan to ensure that the elements of equality would be present in his administration. Biden commented on his appointment of the first black Supreme Court Justice and, without question, his selection of the first black woman as US Vice President, Kamala Harris.


Alongside the commitment by the LBJ Foundation to convey the message of equality to America, President Biden stated thst , years ago, he witnessed as President Johnson met with civil rights attorney, Andrew Young as they along with others in the movement, built the foundation for the success of the Civil Rights laws to be signed. July 1964 setting the stage for the Voting Rights Act and Fair Housing Act to , also, become established.


While criticizing the MAGA far right’s Project 2025, President Biden commented, “We are a better nation, now, because ofthe Cibil Rights law.”


Biden stated how his admiration for Johnson swelled as the then President appointed the first black Dupreme Court Justice. Thurgood Marshall. President Biden stated that despite the progress made in the U.S. Supreme Court in the 60s, there are stil issues surrounding the equitable promulgation of justice that. Today, is not seen inthe Supreme Court.


President Biden stated his plan for launching the reform ofthe U.S. Supreme Court, stating three areas of reformation that will improve the Supreme Court . Biden emphasizing :


We can and we must protect and expand civil rights in America.

We can and we must prevent the abuse of Presidential power and restore faith in the Supreme Court.

We can and we must strengthen the guardrails of democracy.

That's why I proposed reforms to the Supreme Court and a constitutional amendment to affirm that no president is above the law.

President Biden stated that in a future MAGA society, the matters associated with diversity, equity and inclusion. will affect all areas of life and impact in opposition to civil rights law as we know it.


It is for these reasons and others that renounce justice and equity that he has taken up the cause to uphold civil rights, equality as efforts are carried forth for exercising the plan to reform the U.S. Supreme Court.
