STATE & NATIONAL Today, the report of a San Antonio , Texas police officer who was shot by an illegal immigrant, Chacon- Gutierrez while police responded to a domestic violence call. Chacon Gutierrez died of gun shot wounds after police returned fire on the alleged assailant.

On the evening of July 28, SAPD officers responded to a 911 domestic violence call. Police arrived at a San Antonio residence where they found the person, Jorge Chacon-Gutierrez laying in bed. According to police reports, Chacon- Gutierrez laid in bed with a rifle at his side.
SAPD reported that an officer was shot after Chacon-Gutierrez opened fire on police. Police returned fire killing 25 year old Chacon- Gutierrez.
The police report indicated that. Chacon- Gutierrez was an illegal Allen in the United States having absconded his native country, Venezuela.
At the time of the incident, Chacon-Gutierrez wS facing deportation. As the process continued to be pursued , Chacon- Gutierrez was heard in Be at county court where he plead with the judge for more time to remain in the US stating his fear of being victimized in Venezuela. Chacon- Gutierrez was granted a stay in the US as his deportation was aborted by the court.
In weeks that transpired, tge 25 year old continued his residency in San Antonio, Texas and became associated with a female who befriended him. A call to police was however made by the woman who reported that Chacon - Gutierrez was beating her.
Police records , today, indicate that 25 year old Venezuelan immigrant, Chacon -Gutierrez was shot and killed during an attempted assault against police officers.
