Just weeks ago, following US President Joe Biden’s announcement that he would not pursue the return to the office of the U.S. President and, instead, endorsed Vice President Harris for the DNC nomination, Vice President Harris has continued to pull the support of members of Congress and US voters.

In July, the DNC delegates demonstrated their full support for nominating the Vice President as the party candidate for US President. With more than 3600 delegate voter’s support, the next step in securing the nomination will take place by August 19 as the Democratic conventions opens in Chicago.

The step that will be taken is , routinely, the announcement of the candidate’s selection of a running mate. Back in Washington DC., the hope seems to follow the path that leads to Tim Walz, the Governor well known by Minnesota residents as a strong support for the child tax credit with 440,000 Minnesota residents being uplifted from poverty.

Walz exists as the potential pick while Governor of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro, had been eyed by Democrats. Shapiro recently abandoned plans for conducting several party fund raisers following the news that Walz became the Dems’ pick for Harris’s running mate.

Today, former Congress Majority leader, Nancy Pelosi joined in with a number of others in support of Tim Walz announced this week.
