POLITICS: It in! Tuesday, arrived with news on gossamer wings. Presumptive nominee for President, Kamala Harris announced her selection for the 2024 General Election running mate. Today, Vice President Harris announced the selection of her prospective Vice President, Minnesota Governor, Tim Walz.

About Harris' selection of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, Biden commented, Walz is a “powerful voice for working people.”
The news of Vice President Harris’ VP selection goes viral as the nation of voters , who know what the odds may, now, be, gearing up to prepare themselves to vote their choice on November 5.
Harris interviewed , at least, 6 potential Vice President to complete her 2024 president campaign. While among the choices were Governor Josh Shapiro, US Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Senator Mark Kelly, Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky, J.B. Pritzker of Illinois and, of course, Governor Tim Walz .
Elected to hold the gubernatorial seat for the state of Minnesota, Tim Walz entered into office in 2019. Stating that included in her purpose for selecting Walz is her knowledge of his work as Hovernor to staunchly support the working class.
As Governor, it was shortly following his election that on May 14, 2030, that tge George Floyd incident occurred. After the murder of Floyd transpired at the hand of Derek Chauvin and 3 other Minneapolis police officers, Walz and Lt. Governor Peggy Glanagan demanded Justice. During his handling of the ordeal, Governor Walz stated “The lack of humanity in this disturbing video is sickening. We will get answers and seek justice.”
Walz, thereafter, passed a major police reform bill which adopted legislation to limit bans on police choke holds when an officer is not at risk and end the dehumanizing warrior training program which was considered as being provocative.
Walz Aldo signed off on a number of pivotal bills. Among those that were signed in () were the special ingependent unit for the investigation of police encounter through the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, July, 2020. Walz, also, signed the National Popular Vote Interstste Compact, 2023 ; permitting electoral votes of the state to be transferred to the candidate with the highest popular votes. Walz backed the 93rd legislative session that ran from January to May, 2023 and ultimately passed the most progressive legislation in the state of Minnesota to provide for
• Approved a Requirement for paid sick leave
• Cannabis legislation
• Increased spending in Infrastructure and Environment
• Codified the abortion right
• Imposed gun background checks and
• Approved free school meals.
US President Biden complimented Vice President Harris on her choice for a running mate stating that Walz will be an asset to her campaign.
In reaction to the selection of Tim Walz, a number of Harris’ Washington cohorts have stated their excitement and approval of the choice announced today.
