STATE & NATIONAL. Akili McDowell, known for his roles in "David Makes Man" and "Billions," has been charged with murder and theft. Just one month ago, David Penrlts was murdered. Police believe McDonald is the culprits.

Following a brief investigation, police in () have charged Akili McDonald with the death of 20 year old, Cesar Penslta.
Charges brought against McDonald stem from the altercation that transpired between McDonald and Penslts. According to report made by police, McDonald opened fire on Penalta which resulted inthe July 20,, 2024 shooting death of the 20 year old.
Witnesses who contacted HPD reported that Peralta had been in a physical altercation with another man before the shooting
McDowell, 21, was arrested on August 3, 2024, and is currently being held on a $400,000 bond
His manager expressed that this is an unfortunate situation and is in prayer for all those impacted
