US & GLOBAL: Today, the situation involving war between Ukraine and Russia has not been altered. Violence continues while it becomes difficult to recall the purpose for the ongoing violence which has the potential for entering into a 3rd year.

The situation in the Kursk region has become quite intense recently. Russian troops are currently engaged in efforts to push back Ukrainian forces following a significant cross-border incursion
This incursion, one of the largest of the war, saw Ukrainian troops advancing up to 15 kilometers (about 9 miles) into Russian territory
The Russian Defense Ministry has reported that their military and border guards are working to block further Ukrainian advances
The fighting has resulted in casualties on both sides, with Russian authorities reporting at least five civilian deaths and numerous injuries
Ukrainian forces have targeted border patrols and other strategic points in the region
The escalation in fighting highlights the ongoing volatility and complexity of the conflict.
