New York Governor Hochul Declares Emergency in Manchester County


STATE & NATIONAL: Governor Kathy Hochul's recent has recently declared a state of emergency in parts of the state of New York that were struck by

Hurricane Debbie.

FEMA emergency aid is being allocated to several counties in New York in counties severely affected by the storm which includes areas in New York that have experienced significant damage due to tornadoes, severe thunderstorms, and flooding.


As a result of the excessive flooding, the storm has caused at least seven deaths across the affected regions


The severe weather, including record-breaking tornadoes and heavy rainfall, has led to extensive damage and loss of life.


It's a challenging time for these communities remain on notice for rescue and for receiving emergency aid. The response to the storm's devastation will help with ongoing recovery efforts.


Governor Kathy Hochul announced that $11 million in emergency assistance has been allocated for homeowners and municipalities in the seven counties severely affected by the storm. Funding will help cover urgent repairs and recovery efforts. Homeowners can receive up to
