US & GLOBAL: Today, Canada announces the most recent decisions made involving the Canadian military. Canada had determined the potential for Ukraine to be awarded authorization to use Canadian-donated military equipment in its operations against Russia.

Canada has placed no geographic restrictions on the use of the military equipment it has donated to Ukraine. Canada has agreed that Ukraine can use these weapons on Russian territory
Since late March 2022, the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) has been transporting Ukraine-bound military aid donated by Canada, partners, and Allies. To date, the RCAF has transported 19 million pounds of military donations. [Courtesy]

Canada has committed over $4 billion in military assistance to Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. Support by Canada is part of the nation's broader commitment to helping Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression.
