POLITICS: On Friday, 2300 voters, a stage filled with Democratic politicians, including Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra and CMS Administrator Chiquita Brooks-LaSure, US President Joe Biden and US Vice President Kamala Harris filled the auditorium in Largo, Maryland with people, but what’s more, the people filled the the atmosphere with cheers and chants of joy for Joe & Kamala . The event would , thereafter, be marked as one of the greatest welcomings of the Biden-Harris administration’s comparable, only, to their day of victory , November 2020.

“Kamala, when she’s President, is going to make sure everybody is going to qualify for that 35 dollars a month.” Biden spoke in reference to the lowered prescription drug price of insulin.
In Maryland, the event kicked off at the Prince George’s Community College. President Biden and Vice President Harris were in Maryland to announcmce the successful negotiations held by Medicare officials , such that resulted in lowering the price of 10 prescription drugs.

During their speech, Biden and Harris announced that while insulin and 10 other dug prices have already been lowered, more prescription drugs are expected to be lowered in 2026. The new lowered cost for prescription drugs will save the government $6 billion dollars , saving Smerican citizens $1.5 billion dollars.
“A nurse I just met pays $9,000, including $900” on her prescriptions. When the new lower prices kick in, “every single prescription drug she has. The maximum she’ll have to pay is $2,000.” —President Joe Biden
During the rally, a number of Maryland residents spoke in regard to the savings they are experiencing as a result of the lowered cost of prescription drugs. One man mentioned that his prescriptions prices are down to $3000 from $100,000 dollars.
Governor Wes Moore was one of the Biden- Harris supporters who stated how his family’s experience might have been altered had the cost of healthcare been a matter undertaken by the government when he was a youth. Governor Moore spoke of how he watched his father die only moments after being released from the hodpital. Governor Moore stated that the health system was broken and was in need of being fixed. The Biden Harris plan along with the ACA has done well to repair the broken U.S. health system.
Biden and Harris were a welcome pair in PG, Maryland while their visits to the city , in the past, were remembered by many who attended the event.
