The report of 5 people missing with one report of the death of one as passengers on board the British luxury yacht, Bayesian. The Bayesian reportedly sank off the coast of Sicily with Mike Lynch and family members on board.
A fierce storm that rocked the Sicilian coast was indicated as being the cause of the boat's sinking. The storm brought intense winds and rough seas, making rescue efforts challenging. So far, 15 people have been rescued, including the wife of Mike Lynch and a one-year-old girl. Unfortunately, 6 other passengers remain missing.
Mike Lynch, a British tech magnate, and five others are missing after their luxury yacht, Bayesian, sank off the coast of Sicily during a severe storm.
According to the report, the yacht, carrying 22 people, was caught in a powerful waterspout, a type of tornado that forms over water, which caused it to capsize early this morning
The search and rescue operations are ongoing, with the hope of finding the missing passengers alive.
