Biden Joins Harris & Walz For The Biggest Democratic Event ofthe Year—The DNC Convention Opens Aug.19-22

POLITICS: On Monday, the highlight of the 2024 General Election kicks off in Chicago. The Democratic National Convention opens, today, as one of the star spangled events of this moment in US history. With the Chairperson ofthe DNC, Minyon Moore, opening the events of the day there will be 18 speakers, including US President Joe Biden, Former US President Barack Obama, Former First Lady, Michelle Obama, Senate Majotity Leader Chuck Schumer, House Minority Leader, Hakeem Jeffries and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson among others.

Something of interest that transpired as the DNC convention had been pulled together, over the last months of the year, the Democratic National Convention Committee , the US Congress and the Federal Election Commission contributing— summing up having raised a total of nearly $300 million dollars in funds to support the convention ,alone.

This election year, the DNC convention site is situated at The United Center of Chicago with additional events will be held at the McCormick Place site.

The general thrust of the Democratic Vonvention is meant to ensure that the party secured its nominee(s). This year, with only 1957 votes necessary for obtaining the nomination, the team of Vice President Kamala Harris has , already, secured 3,949 delegate votes.

As a matter of routine, the DNC Convention is expected to run for the next 4 days; August 19-22 and with the efforts of an experienced crew including DNC Convention Chair; Minyon Moore, Alex Hornbeck; Executive Director, Louisa Terrel; Senior Advisor and Senior Advisor ; Biden Victory Fund, Roger Lau each working together to develop the event, there can only great things expected over the next days.
