Connecticut Struck By Devastating Storm -Oxford Hardest Hit w/2 Dead


NATION: As the news is being provided in regard to the devastating storm that struck Connecticut, information has spread involving the storm’s conditions. In addition to there having been 2 tragic deaths, there were a number of details reported as a result the storm and its damage.

Today, the recent storm in Connecticut has caused significant damage and disruption. In addition to the tragic deaths, the storm has led to widespread flooding, power outages, and infrastructure damage.


Following the storm that struck western Connecticut in the Naugatuck Valley Region, over 2,000 customers are experiencing power outages. Several roads and bridges remain impassable, and many towns have reported severe damage.


In Oxford, the worst-hit area, roads were “caved in and thrown apart,” and businesses were severely damaged. Emergency crews had to evacuate dozens of people.


Caught by surprise, gatherers at a birthday party in Oxford were rescued as flooding waters began to swell in the area.


Flooding flooding in the Oxford region was described as “historic” and “unprecedented,” with some areas receiving rainfall at the 1,000-year level.


Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont has declared a state of emergency to expedite recovery efforts. The community is now focused on recovery and rebuilding after this devastating event.
