NATION: The Chicago DNC appears to be rolling out as scheduled. Tuesday, August 20th , the second day of the 2024 Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago, is packed with events and notable speakers including Dr Jill Biden and others.

This 2nd day will kick off with a Delegation breakfasts: 7:30-9:00. The Morning press briefing will follow and at 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM: the Women’s Caucus will meet.
Last night, Candidate for President, Vice President, Kamala Harris spoke after being officially nominated by US President Joe Biden. Harris, thereafter, accepted the official nomination as the Democratic presidential contender.
US President, Joe Biden received a lengthy standing ovation last night as he stood for quite a while awaiting a lull in the roaring crowd to endorse Vice President Harris as the nominee.
The theme for tonight is "A Bold Vision for America’s Future"1. The schedule for the remainder ofthe day will focus on significant meetings. In the afternoon, a Disability Caucus meeting will precede the , Youth Council meeting which will be followed by a Rural Council meeting
Later, at about 3:15, a Veterans & Military Families Council meeting will be conducted followed by the Poverty Council meeting and an Interfaith Council meeting.
During the latter portion ofthe evening , the DNC will hear from keynote speakers. The agenda will include Former President Barack Obama. Also speaking on Tuesday evening will be JB Pritzker, delivering the prime time speech.
