Long Island NY Prosecutor, Peace Indicates 2Yr Prison Sentence Included In Santos Plea Bargain

STATE & NATIONAL: On Thursday, the report of significant matters involving the former GOP Representative of Queens, a New York, George Santos guilty plea bargain carried is said to involve an agreement that the 36 year old errant politician would be sentenced to time in prison. According to Breon Peace, U.S. prosecutor for Long Island and the New York City; Brooklyn-Queens, Santos is expected to serve a minimum of 2 years in prison.

Following an investigation of allegations citing former Queen’s NY Republican representative, George Santos as having committed multiple forms of fraud, wire fraud, money laundering and providing false information on federal documents, the resigned Congressman pleaded guilty on all counts.


While it had not been certain whether Santos long delayed sentencing hearing will result in any adjustments being made in the former Congressman’s plea deal, the status of Santos’ situation remain extant.


According to a recent report made by the Long Island prosecutor, Santos‘ prison term was a matter subject to his overall deal with the state of New York.


In regard to the sentence imposed by Peace for crimes committed offenses would carry a sentence of up to 25 years. Santos’ deal minimized tge term by less than 10% of the state’s criminal code.


The 2 year minimum sentence may be subject to confirmation during Santos’ sentencing trial that is designated for being held in February, 2024.
