NATION: In a recent interview held with Kamala Harris and Tim Walz the two candidates for US President and Vice President, gave their first major television interview since becoming the Democratic presidential and vice-presidential nominees. The interview was conducted by CNN’s Dana Bash and is being aired on Thursday, August 29, 2024.

The interview, regarded as significant, marks Harris’s first major media appearance since President Joe Biden stepped down from the race.
As a result of the open mic styled talks, Harris was provided an opportunity to address criticisms about her media accessibility and to define her campaign alongside her running mate, Tim Walz.
During the top Democratic candidate’s interview, Kamala Harris did address major issues, including women’s reproductive rights. Harris emphasized her commitment to protecting and expanding access to reproductive healthcare, highlighting the importance of safeguarding women’s rights in the face of recent legislative challenges.
As the Candidate for US President, Harris also discussed other top issues such as climate change, economic inequality, and healthcare reform.
A major comment made during the interview was that made in regard to Vice President Kamala Harris and Tim Walz during which the two outlined their plans to tackle these challenges, emphasizing a collaborative approach to create sustainable and equitable solutions.
