The recent Ukrainian strikes using Soviet-made jets targeted the Russian region of Kursk1.
Today, as fighting continues and issues involving the use of Soviet-made jets remain unresolved, specific details about casualties from these particular strikes have not been made available.
During the strikes launched against Russia, Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jets, equipped with American-made JDAM-ER bombs, conducted strikes on Russian bridges in the region nearest Kursk.
According to reports, the strikes launched by Ukraine follow the recent downing of a Ukrainian F-16 fighter jet by Russian forces. However, as inquiries continue to be conducted, there has been no direct confirmation that recent strikes were specifically in retaliation for the F-16 incident.
