According to the report released by the Biden administration the Renewable Energy plan, often referred to as the Permitting Milestone plan, is the Department of the Interior effort at permitting over 25 gigawatts of clean energy projects, surpassing their goal ahead of 2025. The new plan is enough to power more than 12 million homes.

As a New Renewable Energy Rule, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) finalized a plan to lower consumer energy costs and streamline the development of solar and wind projects. The RER, also incentivizes the use of project labor agreements and American-made materials

With Investing in America Agenda cited as President Biden’s primary goal, the revised agenda includes the largest investment in reducing carbon emissions in American history. It provides incentives for manufacturing across the clean energy supply chain, investments in demonstration projects, and tax credits for clean energy generation.

Since January 2021, private companies have announced nearly $880 billion in new investments, including over $410 billion in clean energy manufacturing, electric vehicles, and clean power generation

The recent efforts are part of a broader strategy to achieve a carbon pollution-free power sector by 2035, enhance energy security, and create high-quality jobs in the clean energy economy.
